Reducing Response Times by Competition Based Dependencies

چکیده
To ensure that time constraints in real-time systems are satisfied it is necessary to verify the real-time behavior during the design process of such systems. Schedulabilitiy analysis approaches can be used for this. The disadvantage of these methods is that sometimes the calculated bounds are an overestimation of the real behavior of the system. Therefore it is necessary to include the system contexts into the analysis to achieve tight bounds. In this paper we will introduce a system context that is based on the competition of tasks for a common resource. This dependency exists inherently in every system.

The Effect of Cue Predictability on Long-Range Dependencies in Response Times versus Response Durations
Two experiments were conducted in order to test the effects of cue predictability on serial dependencies in response times and response durations. Predictability in the timing (Experiment 1) and identity (Experiment 2) of response cues was manipulated. Results of both experiments showed that long-range dependencies in response times were stronger when cues were predictable versus unpredictable....
متن کاملA Consistent and Transparent Solution for Caching Dynamic Web Content
Caching is an effective means for reducing load on web servers, especially for those that dynamically generate documents in dynamic web applications. While adding caching to a web application can greatly reduce response times for requests, the logic to ensure consistency with the backend database requires considerable effort to develop. Much of the complexity is in minimizing unnecessary page i...
متن کاملShort Term HMB-FA Supplementation Decreases Muscle Damage Markers After Soccer Matches
The aim of the present study was to investigate The effect of HMB-FA supplementation on the muscle damage markers after soccer matches. 24 male soccer players (age: 23±3 years, BMI: 22.8±2 kg/m2) were voluntarily selected as the statistical sample of this study and were divided into two Suppplement and Placebo groups (n=12). In this study, subjects participated in a weekly soccer microcycle wit...
متن کاملMulti-objective Modeling Based on Competition Airlines Cooperation by Game Theory and Sustainable Development Approach
In each time period, the demand of passengers for each route are finite and airlines compete for earning more profits. The complex competition among airlines causes problems, such as complicating flight planning and increasing empty seats for some routes. These problems increase air pollution and fuel consumption. To solve these problems, this research studies the cooperation of the airlines wi...
متن کاملA Methodology for Unified Assessment of Physical and Geographical Dependencies of Wide Area Measurement Systems in Smart Grids
Wide Area Measurement Systems (WAMS) enable real time monitoring and control of smart grids by combining digital measurement devices, communication and control systems. As WAMS consist of various infrastructures, they imply complex dependencies among their underlying systems and components of different types, such as cyber, physical and geographical dependencies. Although several works exist in...
